The Elessent Clean Technologies engineering team is ISO 9001 certified, as a result of the Elessent commitment to quality. The development of each Process Design Package (PDP) for the IsoTherming® technology is supervised by industry experts and utilizes cutting-edge tools.
The process design package is a basic design level package that includes the information required by a detailed engineering contractor or/and engineering/construction contractor to complete the final engineering of an IsoTherming® process unit.
In addition to providing the quality deliverables included in a PDP, Elessent facilitates critical meetings throughout the project including but not limited to a project kick-off meeting, PFD review meetings, and P&ID review meetings.
In these meetings, Elessent ensures the proposed design adheres to the refinery requirements and adequately integrates with adjoining units. Additionally, Elessent is able to support meetings involving process risk analysis (PHA, HAZOP, SIL, etc.) and 3D model reviews. The Elessent Clean Technologies engineering team also has the capabilities of evaluating existing hydroprocessing units.
Elessent can evaluate an existing unit by performing an on-site test run. This form of study is accomplished by collecting actual data from an existing unit. Elessent engineers will be on-site and ensure all the necessary data is collected. Once the test run is complete the engineering team will build a process simulation to accurately model the unit and quantify the performance of each unit operation.

Once a test run study is complete, Elessent can evaluate the additional capacity capabilities in the existing unit or provide required modifications to process a specified feed rate and feed type by identifying the unit bottlenecks and providing a cost-effective solution.
Elessent can provide the expected product qualities given an alternative feed. Additionally, Elessent will recommend the specific operating parameters to achieve the required product properties.
