STRATCO® Alkylation

STRATCO® Alkylation Technology enables refineries to safety produce cleaner-burning gasoline with high octane, low RVP, low sulfur, no aromatics and zero olefins. The technology uses a sulfuric acid-catalysed process to convert low-value, straight-chain olefins into high-value, branched alkylate, a key ingredient for clean fuel.

The latest innovation, Elessent Clean Technologies ConvEx® HF alkylation conversion technology, provides refineries with the first cost-effective solution for converting volatile and toxic hydrofluoric acid (HF) alkylation units into safer sulfuric acid alkylation technology. This new technology also allows refineries to significantly increase production capacity for high-value alkylate at 40 to 60% of the cost of a grassroots sulfuric acid alkylation unit of a similar size.
